Ash Wed just passed. Um the whole thing on the face kinda threw me off to be blunt.
Why must people be pushed by some religious practice in order to shift their ways?
Shouldn’t it be self thwarted-it reminds me of New Years Resolutions…why the hell do you need something to help make you make this decision to slightly alter something in your life? Why not just do it yourself.
I have so many issues with religion. And I’m gonna be blunt again; I don’t like Christianity. I’ve heard too many “God will help you Jesus will help you Look to Jesus Go Pray about it” folks. And not to mention the ritual of cannibalism “the blood of christ and the body of christ” that no one really wants to say is true but it is in theory (you can’t say that doesn’t imply straight up cannibalism, screw spirituality in this instance)…and also the fact that African Americans take it to a whole nother level of serious radicalism. Ever seen that episode of The Boondocks where the Katrina victims end up in the Freeman house, and of course the old grandmother is like “Praise Jesus, Thank ya Jesus, Hallelujah, Praise the lawd, Oh Lawd…” etc. That’s another stereotype we get pushed into but yet fullfill.
I think I really don’t like the Bible-I’ve tried to at least sympathize with it but it’s really hard.
Anyway, my friends tried to explain the whol Ashy Face day thing and then Easter and the whole Zombie moment Jesus has, I still don’t get it. But okay. Whatever floats your boat.
Derp on Religion…
